Drink hard, fuck quick and listen to Sunshine Riot.
your sweetest friend -nick Recording recording recording
So yeah , we're going into the studio this sat to put some new tracks down. For all those who have been at our shows lately, Gun Hill Road and Surely Temple are the two we're going to be focusing on. you guys have been loving em since we started playin em and we feel they best represent our playing so far. So we're going to brookline to record, sorry nighttrain studios, you just weren't doin it for us.
Anyway, we hope to see you guys at our next show, we're doin a weekend bonanza, starting in New York on March 27 and then coming back to Boston for the 28th. hope to see all you guys there! Uh Oh!
With less than a week away from the show I (shakes ) can barely hold my own hog to pee let alone beat the christ out of wood and metal. I had a tiny accident last night washing dishes where in which I dropped and broke a priceless bowl and in attempts to catch it , slice my wrist and and middle finger open.
It needed stitches but stitches are for bitches. ..... Maybe thats why its still bleeding though , huh. Heres to hoping we drink enough to kill the pain before this mondays show ( that I better see everyone at) Oh well.... Shakes so we're pregnant, get over it
so yeah, we're freatured on wfnx's website, for a song that we know and love, in too deep for a shovel that size, and our music video is fuckin awesome. So why do I feel like complete shit? cause i didnt do what i came here to do, and that bothers me. it should bother you too. PEace bitches, especially you brian.
Peace Jeff, the motherfucking bassist. period. We need cords, badly, is there a charity for muscians?
yeah, so we're all broke like a yugoslavian car, but shit's still hittin the fan like clockwork. We got a show coming up at the Middle East Upstairs, Sept. 27, and we'd really like to see all of you there. We're currently in the process of making our first music video(s), and so far there seems to be little in the way of obstacles...
Any ideas anyone has for videos, let us know. Brian recently got a tattoo of a G Clef, whatever the fuck that is, on his forearm. He says it makes him look more musical, which i say is physically imnpossible, unless you can see sound. Anyway, Jonny got a tattoo as well, his name, on his right buttcheek. It looks amazing, way more cool than that G spot, or whatever the fuck brian got. See you at the show, -Jeff, the motherfucking bassist P.S. oh and if there's anyone out there who is working on his or her English, please, work harder, we can't understand you. Riot at Paradise! On May 28th, Sunshine Riot will be playing at the Paradise on Commonwealth Ave. Tickets are available in advance from the boys, or through e-mail by booking@sunshineriot.com (title it tickets). They're $15 in advance and $20 @ the door. We're playing at 9:30, but come early and bring your Riot gear. sparkles
guess i need to learn to read
i'm a man of few words
that is all
-nick Mixing boards beware!!!
We're scheduled to go into the studio next saturday to start on our first full length album. We're hoping to have a sample track, Rags To Pearls, up on this site and the myspace the day of recording, so look out for it! Thanks Tyler for your help, we owe you a drink.
the bassist Jeff There's no place like dome
So yeah, we're getting along with our full length album right now, working out scheduling and such nonsense, and we were wondering if you guys had any suggestions for the title. We'll be putting up a suggestion box at some point soon.
The MySpace has been revamped a little; go check it out if you feel so inclined. Anyhow, things are going great and our show this weekend should be a great one. Somerville is an awesome place to go see a live band, and it is home to the most beautiful Dublin waitresses I have ever seen. You ever hear Steve Earle's Galway Girl? yeah, they're exactly like he says. So, it has been mentioned in our inner circle of the band that because of our eclectic nature, we would like to maybe write a hip hop/rap song (nick said it, I never know when to take him seriously so this could be a bullet to the foot on my part). Any lyricists that are interested please get in touch with us and we'll knock some ideas around. The only requirement is that you can rap without referring to yourself or the band at all. Those self indulgent pricks on the radio these days seem to be way to full of themselves, and that's our job damnit! Oh yeah, and Brian got a haircut ![]() Since he hasn't uploaded any pictures of it yet, I figure this is a good estimation of what it looks like. This is a picture of shakes from back in the day. Just add a goatee and it's exactly the same as now. I don’t know who that other prepubescent boy is though, but when I do there's going to be trouble. That is all -Jeff |
